Boat shows showcase everything the boating world has to offer in one place. Shows range from being massive international events to regional and local shows, they all share one key element, lots of boats, accessories and information for all those that love being on the water.

The boats are obviously the main attraction, they often include feature boat displays presented by the manufacturers, which may be staffed by the factory or local dealer. New boats often make their debut at a boat show and it’s a good place to compare the boat market, even if you’re not boat shopping, it’s fun to see what’s new or trending, you may spot a feature or accessory that intrigues you.

What to expect at a boat show

Vendors offer everything from dock lines to electronics to wake boards to boating attire, it’s a great place to see all the boating products before you buy. You can get some great deals on products - boat manufacturers often offer special boat show incentives, such as lower pricing, package deals and special financing.

There can also be a number of demonstrations and seminars on topics such as boating safety and seamanship or fishing tips for pro-anglers - most are free to attend. At many boat shows you are also able to visit booths promoting marina and boat-rental or boat-sharing businesses operating in your area.
